Why this was made

When someone we love dies, the photographs that remember them are scattered. Some live in a parent's phone, others in an old shoebox, more still on a cousin's laptop, or in a cloud account nobody has the password for.

Rest in Pictures was built to bring those fragments together. It is a quiet, shared place where family and friends can contribute photos, add the stories behind them, and arrange them in the years they were taken. The result is a single, gentle timeline of a life — not a social feed, not a tribute wall, but something calmer and more lasting.

Gathered together

One link lets everyone who loved them add a photo. No account needed to contribute.

In their own time

Photos are grouped by the year they were taken, so the timeline reflects a life as it was lived.

Stories preserved

Each image can carry its place, its date, and the memory that makes it matter.

A note on privacy

Memorials are public by default, so they can be easily shared with the people who need them. The person who creates a memorial can edit or remove it, and contributions can be moderated so the space stays respectful and true to the person being remembered.
